The Lie That Everyone Is Doing It
Text: “Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil.” — Exodus 23:2
The dirtiest world is not the one outside. It is the one you have justified inside.
The most dangerous justification for sin today is not pleasure. It is population. “Everyone does it.” “In this Lagos, you can’t be that holy.” “If I don’t do it, someone else will.”
The devil doesn’t need to convince you that sin is good. He only needs to convince you that holiness is impossible.
In Sodom, Lot’s wife was not a prostitute. She was just used to the smell of compromise. She looked back because her heart never left. Many have not left Sodom in their heart — they have only changed location.
God never told you to be holy when it is convenient. He told you to be holy because He is holy. Your standard is not your office, your colleagues, or your industry. Your standard is His hill. And only those with clean hands will stand there. Psalm 24.
That bribe you call “processing fee.” That lie you call “packaging.” That relationship you call “management.” That money you call “hustle.” God calls it dirt. And dirt on your hands will disqualify you from what He wanted to place in those hands.
You cannot carry holy oil with dirty hands.
Today, God is not asking you to clean the whole world. He is asking you to wash your own hands.

If Jesus worked in my office for one week, what would He refuse to touch that I touch daily?
Prayer of Cleansing:
Father, today I renounce the lie of the multitude. I have used people as my excuse to disobey You. Forgive me. Wash my hands from what I have touched that You hate. Give me courage to be different in this dirty world. I choose Your hill over the crowd. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
