You Can’t Cover What You Won’t Conquer
“Be sure your sin will find you out.” — Numbers 32:23 KJV
You didn’t kill it. You managed it. You hid it. You gave it a small room in your heart and told it, “Stay quiet.”
But sin does not stay quiet. What you feed in secret will feed on you in public.
- Secret Sin Is Never Secret To God.
“For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” — Ecclesiastes 12:14 KJV
“For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.” — Luke 12:2 KJV
You can lock your door. You can clear your history. You can lead worship on Sunday. But heaven keeps record.
God does not expose you to shame you. He exposes you to save you — because what you cover, God cannot cleanse.
“He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.” — Proverbs 28:13 KJV
Notice — confess AND forsake. Not confess and manage. Not confess and repeat. Forsake.
- What You Manage Grows Master.
You thought you were controlling it — the look, the lie, the lust, the bottle, the bitterness.
But you were not managing it. It was managing you.
“Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.” — John 8:34 KJV
A servant does not decide when to serve. His master decides. That small compromise now tells you when to sleep, where to go, what to click. You are no longer free.
Samson managed Delilah. He thought, “I will go out as at other times before.” — Judges 16:20 KJV — But this time the Spirit had departed, and he wist it not. The sin he managed in the lap of Delilah managed him in the prison of the Philistines.
- Private Victory Precedes Public Anointing.
God anoints you in secret before He uses you in public. But the enemy also wants you in secret before he ruins you in public.
“But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret” — Matthew 6:6 KJV
Your closet is where battles are won or lost. If you lose in the closet, you will lose on the stage.
Do not pray for a public anointing while protecting a private sin. God will not anoint what you refuse to crucify.
Today — Kill It.
Stop negotiating with it. Stop calling it a weakness. Call it what God calls it — sin.
Bring it into the light. Confess it to God. Confess it to a brother who can hold you accountable.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” — 1 John 1:9 KJV
You cannot be cleansed from what you still cover.
Prayer:
Father, I have managed what Thou said to mortify. I have hidden what Thou said to judge. Today I drag it to the light. I confess it. I forsake it. Forgive me and cleanse me. Let me not be found out in public — let me be freed in secret, by the blood of Jesus. Amen.
